Warrior Yoga : discover a very dynamic cardio yoga !
The word “WARRIOR” does not have to scare you, on the contrary! It is used because we are all powerful and warlike women. We are able to get rid of our fears and limiting beliefs.
WARRIOR Yoga was created by Aria Crescendo and her husband Gus.
Together, they imagined a powerful yoga with inversion work in the class. It is a course that comes from France and travels around the world with its creators. This yoga is based on its most important element, the breath. This breathing allows to realize demanding postures which, like some dynamic yoga like vinyasa yoga, will act on the muscular reinforcement and on the flexibility.
What is a Warrior Yoga class like?
During a Warrior Yoga class, the body temperature rises, the “UJJAYI” breath is our most faithful ally to keep the mind in the present moment and to be able to live the uncomfortable postures as well as possible.
WARRIOR Yoga can be used to build strength, tone up, strengthen, get out of your comfort zone, meditate while moving, reconnect to your power and also to loosen up.
We may all have a different intention when we start WARRIOR yoga but what I am sure of is the sense of pride that comes from each WARRIOR yoga class.
There is no achievement to be made but rather a learning of the fact that we are capable of anything.
That’s why Aria Crescendo and Gus have chosen “I CAN” as their mantra.
To practice this yoga, you will need a non-slip yoga mat and yoga bricks if needed for some balance postures.
Anyone can practice WARRIOR Yoga and especially ANYONE can do inversions. It is not necessarily the yoga by which one starts but to pass to the higher stage and to go to seek on the side of the muscular reinforcement and the flexibility, this yoga is perfect!
Unless there is a medical contraindication, of course, but otherwise you can practice inversions.
There is no physics for or against inversions, on the contrary.
Besides, inversions have multiple benefits:
- Seeing things from a different perspective
- Change of perspective
- Strengthening of muscles
- Bringing tone to the skin of the face
- Calm the mind with the cranial acupressure points that are stimulated
You can practice WARRIOR Yoga with teachers who have been trained by Aria Crescendo & Gus.
Warrior yoga differs from vinyasa yoga in several ways. During a vinyasa yoga session, we correct the postures less than in warrior yoga, and vinyasa yoga is less physically demanding than warrior yoga.
On my online platform, GODDESS TV, I teach WARRIOR Yoga and it’s a blast!
What is GODDESS Yoga? And where does it come from?
I created GODDESS Yoga in 2020. At a transformative retreat where I was a yoga speaker, we were to do Kundalini yoga. But this practice did not meet all my desires and needs at that time.
So I decided to create a new stream of yoga specifically for women & which, for me, allows us to liberate the goddess that we are inside.
A GODDESS Yoga class is a mixture of several different practices:
- Power Yoga to reconnect with your power and Yang energy,
- Kundalini Yoga to reconnect with the kundalini energy, the sacred feminine
- Ecstatic dance in order to let go and fully liberate yourself
- And finally, Yin Yoga to calm your body, your mind and cultivate your yin energy
A clever mix, a feminine and balancing cocktail that allows each participant to explore her different energies, to be able to fully let go and let the woman she is express herself through movement but also to free herself and fully radiate.
I recommend doing this practice in the evening as it is an intense session and may be better in the dark for the ecstatic dance part. You can also light candles, incense and really create a sacred space for yourself.
For this class, I recommend that you put on a yoga outfit that energizes you, in which you feel beautiful, feminine and comfortable.
All you need is yourself anda yoga mat.
Why practice in anything other than leggings and a bra to really meet your feminine power?
During the course, there are often revelations, triggers, emotions that are soothed or that resurface. It’s ok and it’s normal. It is even a sign that the work is deep.
Anyone can practice it as long as you are ok with the ecstatic and open-minded dance practice.
This practice, this course, I imagined it myself and it has been a great pleasure and a revelation for the women in front of me. I want to share this course with all the women of the world to allow them to shine at the height of their inner and outer brilliance.
